Smash Padel Bicester welcomed more than 80 players over the weekend of 19-20 September as it hosted the 2026 Oxfordshire Padel County Championships.

Across two busy days, players competed in 10 categories with matches taking place throughout the weekend. The event was another chance for Smash Padel to show what its venues can offer as hosts of competitive padel.

This was the fifth LTA tournament hosted at Bicester this year, with 16 tournaments now held across Smash Padel sites in 2026. Seven more are planned before the end of the year.

With five panoramic courts, including three with canopy covers, Smash Padel Bicester is well suited to large events. Hosting events like the County Championships is an important part of what Smash Padel offers.

There were plenty of highlights for Smash Padel players across the 10 categories. Head of Padel Miguel Caramalho and 15-year-old Smash Academy player Andrew Dunn won the Men’s Doubles. Andrew also won the Boys’ Doubles U18 with Josh Hodgins, giving him two titles across the weekend.

Head of Academy Gordon Dunn and his partner Paul Allen took the Men’s Doubles 40+ title. Sisters Annabelle and Hannah Denly won the Women’s Doubles, while Andrew Dunn and Rosie Allen took the Mixed Doubles title.

Miguel Caramalho, Head of Padel at Smash, said: “It was a great weekend for padel in Oxfordshire and for everyone at Smash Padel. We saw some great matches, but, most importantly, it was great to see so many people down at Bicester enjoying themselves.

“We love hosting events here and we want Smash Padel to be a place where people feel supported and that they can enjoy the game at every level. It just shows how much padel is growing, and giving players the chance to compete against new people is something we’re all really proud of.”
