SmashPadel has been featured by the LTA in a recent article that shines a light on the work happening inside our junior programme and the coaching‑led philosophy that underpins it.
The LTA visited our Bicester club to understand how our pathway has grown, why it’s attracting players from across the country and how our approach blends data, coaching and community partnerships to support young people on and off the court.
Their feature explores several areas of our model including how we structure the junior pathway from Little Smashers through to national and European‑level performance squads, how our coaches use Individual Development Plans to guide each player’s development, and how our wider team works together to create an environment where children feel confident, motivated and supported. The article also highlights the role of our coaching staff, the impact of international training opportunities, and the growing success of players coming through the Bicester programme.
We’re proud to see our work recognised by the LTA, and we encourage readers to explore their full piece to understand the detail behind our coaching framework and the stories of the young players who are driving the sport forward.
