A community asset, not just a court.

Smash Padel is helping councils deliver healthier, more active and better-connected communities through sport. Padel is inclusive, social and for everyone – it’s a powerful tool for place making.

When delivered through the right operating model, padel becomes more than a facility.

Our venues encourage inactive residents into physical activity, support healthier lifestyles, and build connections across all ages.

They also bring underused spaces to life, and make them safer – with staffed venues providing an active presence and welcoming environment.

Success story.

Our Smash Padel Cardiff site has revitalised a derelict bowls green and clubhouse at Cardiff Council Park – Llandaff Fields. Within the first year, the site has delivered over 90% occupancy and hosted the biggest junior world tour padel event ever held in the UK.

Testimonial

“There’s a great fear around disability. Other venues have quoted unrealistic prices for coaches and court hire, then ask me to pay for equipment hire! They don’t seem to have much sense of corporate social responsibility, which is why it’s so refreshing to be working with Smash Padel. They really are one in a million.”

Already driving real outcomes for communities.

Our programmes support council objectives, drive real health and social outcomes, and engage under-represented groups.

Schools.

We bring padel into the school day through curriculum PE, after school sessions and teacher CPD, built around a fun first approach that gets kids enjoying the game and introduces them to competition once they’re ready.

Women and girls.

Many women come to padel with little or no racket sport experience.  Our sessions are built around that, creating a welcoming space where confidence grows alongside skill. Many of our courts have frosted glass panels to create a more welcoming environment for new players.

Disability padel.

Padel’s smaller court and slower ball speed make it genuinely accessible. Smash supports disability sessions for young people and adults with physical and learning disabilities.

Older adults.

Padel’s social, doubles format makes it a natural fit for older residents looking to stay active. Sessions are designed around wellbeing, not just fitness, supporting connection as much as movement.

Community partnerships.

We work with local organisations already embedded in the community, extending our reach into groups and networks we couldnt otherwise engage, and building social value that outlasts a single session.

Why Smash Padel is the right partner.

Our coaches are ours.

Every Smash Padel coach is directly employed, LTA accredited, and developed through our own coaching development programme so venues deliver the same standard, whether that’s a curriculum PE session or a Sofa2Smash group finding their feet.

Junior development.

Smash Padel runs one of the UK’s fastest-growing junior padel programmes, introducing hundreds of young players to the sport each year. For councils, that's a ready-made channel to engage young people.

Proven community innovation.

From the Smashers passport to our Sofa2Smash programme and Padel Xpress, we continually develop new ways to reach residents who wouldn’t otherwise take part, and to keep them coming back.

A trusted team.

Our staff are selected for character, energy and community values, not just sporting ability, and continually developed. We know that the person leading the session is central to whether people feel safe and welcome.

Year-round access.

Covered courts mean our programmes run in all weathers so our customers keep playing, socialising and feeling they belong.
