Smash Padel Bathampton is proposed for a site with a rich and distinctive past. Long before padel courts were imagined here, this land formed part of Bathampton’s historic railway infrastructure, operating first as a railway station and later as a working timber yard.
The vision for Smash Padel Bathampton is to respectfully re-use this previously developed land and give it a new purpose and one that reflects both its heritage and its setting. The use of repurposed shipping containers for the pavilion and facilities is also proposed, reinforcing the site’s working character and industrial past.
The result would be a modern padel facility that is sympathetic to both the site’s history and its landscape.
