We’re proud that SmashPadel’s Sofa2Smash™ initiative has been featured in The Padel Paper, highlighting how we’ve adapted the NHS’s hugely successful Couch to 5K model for the padel court at our Bicester club.

The eight-week pilot programme, delivered by Annabelle Denly, a Level 2 LTA coach with experience working in NHS mental health services, was specifically designed to support inactive adults in a safe, structured and social environment.

To reach those who would benefit most, we partnered with Cherwell District Council and local physical activity charities including Active Oxfordshire, promoting Sofa2Smash™ through their health and wellbeing networks.

The results were powerful. Participants didn’t just learn a new sport, they built habits, confidence and connection.

We’re proud of what this pilot has achieved, grateful to our local partners for their collaboration, and excited about the role Smash Padel can play alongside councils and health organisations in tackling inactivity at a local level.
